Another long updates...

Hyperbunny had been really busy these few weeks with the activities "Friends, bunnies, job interviews, dating, food", neither i can live without in my life 

10th Sep 2012- Went to my very first interview with Nestle. 

Its been about 5 years since 2007 where i last interview with Arvato and the fact of Nestle being quite a big company with their wide ranges in the supermarkets, did make me a little bit nervous.

The first sight of Eightrium located at CBP already made me excited. Its a total different environment as compared to Arvato.

Bringing my foot into the building, there's a small little cafe built for everyone.. They are so thoughtful :D

I was being interviewed by 2 ladies, The line manager whom i will be reporting to and the Hr assistant.

Interview went well and i was surprised it wasn't stressful at all. :D

Dated Yu ling for her super belated birthday treat.. Sorry lar!! i forgot your bd.. Im a bad lousy friend :(

Later in the day, got a call from my recruitment agent.. Guess what she said "Jess ah, they like you alot you know... im bringing you a good news... you are shortlisted!!" hahahah I'm seriously overjoyed

 After lunch, proceed to meet up with eve darling and helped her to make her maiden's wrist ribbon

I'm a left-brain human, crafts are always my strength. LOL

For Dinner, we had fafa and yah yah to join us at Full house, Singapore First theme cafe.

Ambiance were nice. But the food.....

 

Maybe my friends and i pined too much hope in this themed-cafe.... that their food simply don't evem satisfy our stomach nor to make us feel that the price paid was worth.

My raisin-sauced chicken chop $18.90 came with a over-burnt chicken skin.

Meat was tasteless, if they didn't side it with the saucing i think i will puke.

My lavender tea( free flow) were as if aroma oil was added into the hot water and then bring to serve me.. i can't even forced myself to swallow the first pot, who cares about the free flow tea @ $6.90?

Such ordinary and unpleasant cuisine, i don't think i will ever return back again.

Caught Resident Evil 5 - lost of words except boring

then went party world to sing.. 

First time in my entire life, entertained him with 2 hours of "Ang Mo" pop songs 

*jaw drop. im tired. hahahaha

Do we look like an item? hahhaa but we are not.. at least not yet. still observing.. haha

who knows who will end the game first, just enjoy the attention meanwhile :D

14th Sep 2012- Mr ang jioed me go jb again.. 

Had so many good food at tang shifu.

*Pineapple osmanthus jelly tasted fine, but mine is still best :D

Shopped for my 2012 lantern... Finally decided on the bunny one.. :D

Saw Bunnies statues @ Sutera Mall, *So happy

 

Miss quek tempted me with Carrot Cake again.. waiting for her to drive cheesie and me there :D (*hint)

 

Evening time, headed cwp to have "dinner" with my ex-co colleagues.. boring~~haaahahh..

Im too bloated to eat after heavy tang shifu lunch lar! Stop blaming me

Quek always wanted to drink taiwan beers.. Saw it at ntuc before i were to go home and grab it with titbits.

Anyway, it taste like jolly shandy, maybe more fruity taste? $3.90 each.. Can try lar

15th Sep 2012- Saturday should be a good day to sleep, but bunnies team breakfast gathering at 10am.

Yawn~ no choice got to climb off my bed

I was never a Indian food lover, so this is the first time having breakfast@ Thomson Prata House.

Their prata is amazingly delicious!!!! OMG 2 is not enough, though i stopped at two. hahaha

Lunch: black forest plus coffee latte

Dinner: Greenwich food court korean food (thanks Jackie mama for her treat)

plus red bean shaved ice dessert.

Helping jackie mama to groom as many rabbits as possible. Broke my own record, 10 rabbits groomed in a day WOW!!

16th Sep 2012- Met up with Weisheng for 2D1N soju bangv @ Novena ville.

 Their food range was much delicious and of wider range as compared to the warm and stuffy branch @ Tanjiong Pagar.

Strongly recommended to go Novena' s if interested.

 

Jackie mama sent out SOS help for grooming, since i'm around that area.. Went to her house to continue grooming with Ws.

*headache.. he's newbie and cannot handle the rabbits!!

End up, i got to take over his half way done rabbit... =,=!!!

I hoped he "enjoyed" the session haahaha..

17th Sep 2012- Went Faro to sign their recruitment's contract.

 Went Cityhall to pick up ah along from work. * No not sweet at all

 Home sweet home after that.

18th Sep 2012-Last minute call from my agent, ask to go down nestle again to meet country manager.. Second interview aka formal introduction =,=

19th Sep 2012- Changed 11am interview to 3pm (cannot wake up)

Second interview went on smoothly too. :D

Everything confirmed.. Starting work this 1st Oct 2012..woohoo~

Went down H& M to shop for some formal wear, 1 shirt and 1 dress brought... i need more!!!

20th Sep 2012- Ah long pang seh me.. :( so stayed home make mooncake.

Mr Ang came to collect his pre-order snowskin mooncake Large in the night. *not much earned but yeah  extra allowance.

and..... he surprised me with.... the Rabbit ceramic mooncake giftset i eyed @ Sutera Mall.

OMG!! he took my words so seriously.. 

Why ah long never buy me mooncake har? hmmm...

1.9km away

Hahah I know im dumb and silly... But being so near him makes my heart pounds. What if I saw him? Say hi and find a hole and hide?

Another week gone..

31st Aug 2012 - The Cheesecake Cafe @ East Coast Road

It was another friday night, Singles' are indeed boring at times but im really appreciative that Miss Quek came to fetch me with her cheesie and off we go rounding..

Both of us wasn't feeling that well but that doesn't cause any obstruction to stop us from going. Due to the unfamiliarity of the east route, we took about almost an hour to reach the destination and by the time we reached, i swore both of us look like dead fishes. LOL

Looking through the glass display, there's really a big range of different cheesecakes.
I'd settled on the last slice of their chocolate brownie cheesecake, while quek happily picked blueberry cheesecake thinking it was the last slice too.. Whose knows they placed out another whole cake out *Laughing out Loud

Here's my overall rating:
brownie cheesecake: 7.5/10
Unique flavor always attracts me but maybe because it tasted too sweet,i started to feel sick after taking about half of it.

Ambiance: 9/10
Simply loves the environment to the max, lots of lovely cupids-statue, mini fountain and perfect garden feel..

Price: 8/10
Portion was just nice, and price is reasonable @ $7.80 per slice in a cafe

Heavy crowds despite reaching at a late hour :D
I will definitely visit them again, but perhaps at a lazy afternoon someday to avoid crowds

Virus attacked me, bad sore throat and fever rushed up that night... OMG!

2nd Sep 2012 - Comex IT show

Im supposed to take part in the comex show for both Saturday and Sunday, but due to the unexpected fever got to give the Saturday session a miss. $72 bucks flew away but who cares.

Climbed off bed, dragged my weak body just for the sake of preventing awkwardness between the 2 strangers Maisie and Wei Sheng.
Stood the consecutively 9 freaking hours, and worst of all i'm being posted the busiest location. F*** half dead.

Managed to bring out tiny bits of "fun" out of the the misery..
Met a handful of new friends :D

Thanks ah long for the ride back home despite him having early flight the next day *touched


Monday & Tuesday(3/9-4/9)..
Completely idling mood, body showed slow recovery perhaps due to the bad weather.
Heavy flu and cough continued to haunt me. * bless me

Wednesday (5/9): Self Study time
Continue feeling weak, but met Ws at Starbucks.
1-2hours of solid study on Audit & Assurance, the rest of the hours went on chit chatting.
See!! i told you... Action proven that i cant study with friends LOL

Thursday (6/9): Lunar seventh Month's Getai
Mummy seeked companionship in the evening to watch the Getai in our neighbourhood, little brother showed no interest to her and i was napping..
Heard some grumbling from her that she's lonely and her kids no longer want to keep her accompany blah blah blah. Fine! decided to filial so climb off my bed, took a shower and off we go.

I had no clue what was so interesting about it except words like warm, stuffy, crowded, mosquito's' love bites to describe it. hahahaa, the traditions are sure going to fall under the hands of our generation sooner or later LOL



My legs were disobedient, i couldn't stay still at the same place..
So i walked around the neighborhood, the lanterns hanging there makes me feel awesome. I love our Chinese Festivals. :D
Went Phoon Huat for upcoming Mooncake's ingredient pricing.



Meet up ah long at the station, because he claimed that he missed me so so so so so much.

Somehow or rather.. I feel so wrong & nervous, not those kind of lovely dovey feel but those kind of having external affairs' excitement. Whatever lar, we are now both singles leh!!! my brain dis-functioning again. LOL

Ling Ling also secretly gave birth to a prince!!! OMG!!! Congras dear, looking forward to his full month :D

Friday (7/9) - Carpenter & Cook Cafe

Seems like it become a routine to explore new teatime every friday with dear quek?
We are here specially for the carrot cake, but to my disappointment........like what quek said with some hidden meaning:"you have no fate with carrot cake, forget it..."

Hey i'm no longer expecting anything from "carrot", all i wanna do is to just to enjoy my cake secretly and quietly.
Alot of my friends scolded me foolish, because knowing that even in his mind or in fact just another "passerby", i still miss him... Bear with me, i wished i could walk out asap too :(

Ok.. back to Carpenter & Cook introduction :D
I'd ordered their new recommendation Caramel walnut Cheesecake as an alternative and a cup of hot latte while quek had her scone with strawberry lime cider(4.5% alcoholic). Guess what happened to this joker, her face blushed red and feel tipsy when we left the cafe. =,=!!! I'm completely wordless.

Caramel walnut Cheesecake: 8/10
Caramel sweetness blends really well with the creamy cheesecake, there's bits of caramel & walnut crunch which add to the savory texture.
Will be best if a slice could be shared between 2 persons, because after awhile it start to give a sickly sweet again..
I'm a little bit upset not because my cake was not tasty but more of i came late, and there wasn't much choices left for me. Hopefully better well next time :D

The lady pastry chef was attentive, she came over to ask whether i like her new cake invention :D hahaha.. i decided to supportive and gave her some words of encouragement though in my mind i don't really appreciative her creamy taste but hard crust..

Ambiance: 8/10
Stepping my foot into the shop, it first gave me a very free and homely feel just like those 2nd hand antique Taiwanese cafe.
There's aging clocks, English teapots, old school type-writer, scales, laddles and many more all over the cafe. Guess what? All looks as if new (or in fact they are new? i don't know) they seem all welly maintained.
A piece of good news for antique collectors!! Items are all for sales, just reach out for the friendly staffs.
Imagine dining on the old sewing machine where they used it as a table. The thought of it was already pretty interesting isn't it?
If only we don't have a noisy and busy crowd, i think it would be perfect to have a slip of coffee with a mouthful of cake and enjoyed the soothing oldies songs played.

Price: 7.5/10

$8per slice seems like a standard marginal pricing for theme-ambiance cafe.
Of course we can't compare with cakes in Cafe Cartel, coffee bean, starbucks and etc.. where we could easily got them at about $6-7 bucks.
Overall, portion was slightly smaller but im willing to pay for the atmosphere.
Will visit them at a more non-peak timing next time.

Their water sink attracts me... i want this in my future home too, lovely!

Old Confectionery bakery- Ng Kim Lee

I'm not sure whether its popular, but there's newspaper cutting reporting on their muffin so i assumed not bad?

Take away diamond egg tarts @70 cents per piece and Mousse cakes(Black forest, blueberry, mango) @$ 2 per piece for my family.

Cheap Cheap Cheap.
